Revelation 3:10 Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.
Because Christians conquered the world, called everything they saw “their” land, then proceeded to kill thousands of indigenous people, and then, they said that god supposedly sent them on this journey.
I would say that the countries with the most religious freedom, not the most religious people, are the best places to live. And when the article refers to "highly secular", I really have to question what that means...
My opinion on this matter: Religious Freedom -> More Secularism -> Better Society
NOT More Secularism -> Better Society
If there was a state that forced all of their people to be nonreligious, it would be just as bad as a religious state.
Take, for example, North Korea. There is no religious freedom. According to the CIA World Factbook, "autonomous religious activities now almost nonexistent; government-sponsored religious groups exist to provide illusion of religious freedom".
If you are looking for a truly secular state, go to North Korea. Or China, with a bit more than half of the population unafilliated with a religion.
Why do people hate Muslims? It is because of the amount of heinous acts of crime they have committed against humanity in the name of their religion. Every religion has discriminated against others, Christians especially.

Article: "It isn’t in highly secular Sweden."
Apparently, 30% is categorized as "highly secular"

What was Jesus' answer to this question?
He said the world would hate Christians because Christians follow Jesus, and the world would hate Jesus.
Why would the world hate Jesus?
Because, Jesus said, He convicts the world of sin. So they hate Him, and all those who follow Him.
